Half of Robinson's staff at Lieutenant Governor's Office resigns
Four of the eight staff members at the Office of Lieutenant Governor are resigning effective Oct. 1, including Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson's chief of staff.
A number of civil servants working for Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson’s office are resigning following revelations of highly objectionable comments made by the state’s highest-ranking Republican executive officeholder.
The findings were first reported by Anderson Alerts. An hour later, an in-depth CNN report confirmed what my source source had said. CNN also highlighted in great detail a litany of offensive, graphic and highly sexualized remarks made by Robinson online.
Brian Livecchi, Robinson’s chief of staff, said he and three others will be leaving Robinson’s office on Oct. 1. John Waugh, communications director, Nathan Lewis, director of government affairs and Jonathan Harris, policy director, are also leaving.
The latest departures are separate from ones reported over the weekend within Robinson’s gubernatorial campaign, which is now down to three staff members: two spokesmen and a security officer.
